Looking for a Job? The Central Bank Is Hiring

With the departure of Mark Carney to England, the Bank of Canada is looking to fill its vacant governor position. If you’re in need of a job or looking for a promotion, why not consider applying?

Among other things, you’d be expected to “influence… directly the performance of the Canadian economy.” Let’s be honest, your chances of successfully managing the affairs of over 34 million people are as good as those of any ostensibly qualified schmuck. At least you’d admit you hadn’t a clue what you were doing.

As William Buckley maintained: “I’d rather be governed by the first 2,000 names in the Boston telephone directory than by the faculty of Harvard.”

You can view the advertised job posting here.

Think about it. Please.
